Fundraising for Perth
With the cost of getting to Perth at around $1,500.00 per person, fundraising for most would be a vital necessity. Various events have been held with many members participating. Currently, Sue Birtwistle is organizing a very lucrative scheme of selling chocolates, with 100% of the funds going to the individual. Perhaps this is a good fundraiser for our younger members, but it is open to all traveling members. Currently, the club is organizing a monster raffle with the view that a significant amount of the proceeds will go to the ticket sellers – more details will be in the next newsletter, but I can assure you it will be worth the effort!
