
To undertake this award approval must be gained from the relevant State Director of Lifesaving.

Pre-requisites
Be a minimum of 18 years of age on the date of examination.
Hold a current SLSA Bronze Medallion.
Hold a current SLSA Silver Medallion (Life Support)
Hold a current SLSA Silver Medallion (Patrol Captain)
Hold a current NSW Waterways PWC Licence..
Have a vehicle licence to operate a tow vehicle.
Candidates should also hold a Silver Medallion (IRB)

Operate a Rescue Water Craft
Assessment
Satisfy the majority of the Examiners in respect to their competence in all learning outcomes by -
- Written/oral examination.
- Basic Skill Performance.
- Rescue Scenario simulation.For this award to remain current candidates are required to perform an annual proficiency test.
