Tucks Tales December 2007

Bowls Day 2006
The boat captain requested a strong representation from the boat section.
Well represent we did????? With the ISO in tow a total of 5 crews turned up to show the old folk how to play their sport of choice. Things started poorly with 2 fines being issued in the first half an hour - The Krakaz received one for going to the wrong Dee Why Bowls Club (Since when has Cromer been a part of DY anyway) and the Garricks cope one for being late.
Match of the day was the tense struggle between the Garricks and the Krakaz that eventually saw the Garricks take the match after the juniors smashed the Krakaz lead bowl out of the pack to hand them a soft victory. (Lucky buggers).
All was not lost though, as everyone knows when playing lawn bowls if you are more than 4 bowls behind at the start of the final end you must complete the game in your undies. Thanks for the laughs juniors - Champagne stuff from the young fellas. How many times had you boys worn those undies???????
And congratulations to Gavin Scott's juniors who took out the main prize in the club competition, quality bowling from the junior juniors!
Coff Harbour 2006
Ando's travelling circus headed up the coast for the 4000th Annual Coffs Craft Carnival...
The weekend got off to a flyer when late on Friday night during the last phase of his pre carnival ritual Billy insisted on taking over catering duties and arrange for his special Coffs Special Pasta dish to be delivered piping hot the door....
Gold medal guarantee he insisted…
Well if you can’t trust a bowman who can you trust?
Well done Billy we were only 3 years late but the guy at the video store did offer us some popcorn?
The racing was tight with a good rollup of interstate crews the Krakaz performed well during the rounds with Barney and Billy filling in the 3 seat very well…. If not for a brief moment of madness from the back of the boat the Krakaz would have notched their first race win of the year but all was forgiven when Ando brought one back from the dead in the next round when the comeback resembled a four man tight rope walk along the gunwales…..
The Krakaz rowing improved as the day unfolded and powered their way into the quarter finals to be contested on Sunday.
The Garricks started their campaign in the afternoon when the Nor Easter was making for very challenging conditions, some times lady luck just is not on your side and when mother nature is also not with you the force aint enough…
The Garricks were unlucky finding a rouge waves on the way out and rouge boats finding them on the way back in. It was a good lesson for the boys in their second carnival and also highlighted their need for more work in the chop and wind.
The day was topped of with the first Coffs Harbour Grand Prix…..
Early betting was close and the race was anyones… Anyone that could stay on the track that is. It was a cross between V8 supercars and a demolition derby not even the ovner of the track who wanted a crack at the title was exempt from the carnage. The stewards and the driving srandards board are still processing the footage and the protests, final results will be published when finalised.
The early leader is Lachy (driving miss daisy) Rodgers
The Hoey Moey is still standing even though the Garricks tried to destroy it and each other in the process I would hate to see the boys on a big night….
Palm Sunday is usually the week before Easter boys.
The Krakaz rowed well on Sunday morning and Barney proved again Red Bull and Vodka is a substitute for sleep powering the boys into the semi finals with a solid row.
But the puff ran out or the red bulls in the semi’s with the Krakaz just behind the pace and finishing their weekend.
Coffs 2006 was one of the best the Tuck had visited and hopes that the Collaroy contigent for 2007 is much bigger and better.
Xmas Party 2006
Boothie once again started proceedings with his training session- Great turn out guys but I thing big Deano is still finishing..
OH what a night late December back in…………….
That’s what they will be saying into the ages…..
Where do you start……..
We had Carols, presents, performances, even Santa..
AND Then there was : premature shed cleaning, Bealy’s death defying chair eating performance, Gaffer tape undies????, The Spiders even fitted in a training row, WWE wrestling even CO-ED wrestling but even with the no holds barred format, the match didn’t last long enough for a three count.
Proving he still has it ROO way fighting below his weight class and still was successful……..
How many ribs broken????
It's Thursday night shopping and Billy was busy working at big W when the Wamberal Whopper walks into Big W with her two kids in tow
Young Billy, is working as the door greeter over Christmas. His job is to greet all the customers as they some in the store.
So he says to the Whopper, "Good morning mam and welcome to Big W. Oh what nice children you've got there -- are they twins?"
The Whopper has her head down texting and so doesn't respond straight away. Erin can't quite catch the message but he sees it being sent to Simon. She sends the message then snarls back,
"Of course they bl--dy aren't twins! The oldest, he's 9 and the younger one, she's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins?..... Do you really think they look alike, ya d*%kead?"
"Absolutely not," replies Billy , "I just can't believe anyone would f*%k you twice!"
